Idealistic Eva (Babette Knudsen) works in the minimum-security ward of a correctional facility, overseeing the incarcerated men with an almost maternalistic sense of compassion, guiding them in meditations and showing genuine interest in - and empathy for - their wellbeing. But all this changes when Mikkel (Sebastian Bull), a swaggering offender, is transferred to the facility, and without revealing her motives to her superiors, Eva requests to be reassigned to his high-security block.
